Computer Science Department 

In the last century we need to convince people about the benefits of computerization.When computerization started, people WERE afraid of losing jobs, loss of data, losing human intelligence, and WERE concerned about security. But it all changed. We don’t have to convince people any more to study and use computers. Hence, the expectations from the people are increased and they want more benefits from computers. Now people are thinking that computerization is a solution to stop corruption.

Considering the impact of computers in all the fields S.N.V.M.V introduced computer subjects for Inter students in the year 1992.

The Department of Computer Science for U.G. was established in the year 1999 with one lab and 10 systems with B.Com (Computers). Later in the year 2000 B.Sc (Computers) With M.P.Cs & M.E.Cs was started .Additional sections were added in B.Sc and B.Com. As we are affiliated to Osmania University, we follow the syllabus prescribed by them. The syllabus includes MS-Office, ‘C’-Language, C++, Data Structures, DBMS, JAVA, Web Technologies, E-Commerce and Accounting Packages.

Department has grown leaps and bounds to the present status with 85 systems. The Department has a well-equipped lab with high configuration computers.
