Department of Biochemistry

Biochemistry is the collection of every organic chemical reaction in living organisms. Without functioning biochemical reactions, life in any form would not exist.

The department  of Biochemistry  was  established   in the year 2007. The faculty are dedicated and passionate  to teach and  always devise new methods to teach difficult topics and daunting structures  in  Metabolism in a very  easy and interesting way.  The department   conducts   various  events and  competitions to instill passion  towards  the subject  and  department consistently  secured 100 % pass  percentage  from the last 5 years  in the University examinations.

 The department envisions quality education and inculcating passion towards biochemistry.

Mission

Motivating   the  students  to be  enthusiastic  and  competent. We endeavor towards better learning and constantly   encourage the students towards higher   studies and  to have   research  zeal.  

Objectives

• To prepare students for careers in science as both researchers and educators.
• To inculcate critical and analytical skills in the students coupled with independent thinking and problem-solving abilities by adopting Innovative teaching methods
• To foster a research temperament and enhance interpersonal and teamwork among the students by assigning group assignments   and projects.
• To promote   student progression to PG courses.
